Cr Rhonda Donaldson was absent from the meeting.
Our concerns include: Such high rise not in the public interest, lack of space in nearby schools to accommodate children, nowhere to play, very busy and dangerous corner, small setbacks to street, effects on single storey houses alongside. Very strong community opposition ignored by majority of councillors

Getting up close and personal...

Brick house at corner will be surrounded by flat developments, one on Swete Street and the other at its adjoining neighbour, on Mary Street. The land size of this house is not large enough to support a flat development on its own.

The balconies in many of the units have become storage areas... note the washing; not the most attractive view when entering Lidcombe!
