Description: Demolition of house at front of site and conversion of existing rear building to place of worship and educational establishment.
Our concerns include: Former squash courts, which is only 400mm from side boundary, with windows which overlook adjoining properties. There are building works done by previous owners which have NOT been approved. The only exit from the building in case of fire would appear to be the front door. The building is built almost to both side boundaries, as well as the rear boundary. While schools are permitted in a residential zone, one would assume that a building of this size would NOT be allowed on this site were this a cleared block of land. The school proposes to cater for 80 students.
