Voted to defer this application until after a proposed meeting of council
staff and Berala residents re the Berala Town Centre Study: Cr Irene
Simms (RAGAA) and Cr Balendra (Ind)
Cr Perry (Labor) was absent from the meeting.
Our concerns include: development in Berala is restricted to 3
storeys; proposal is contrary to Council’s current code. Whether Berala
residents want a 4 storey frontage at Woodburn Rd, where 2 storeys is the
predominant height currently.
A previous application, in 2001, was deferred by the council after
recommendation for refusal by the townplanners. |
