Our concerns include: This block has recently been rezoned from 2c (flats) to 3a (commercial), yet the amount of commercial building is less than half of that previously existing on the site. This makes a mockery of the rezoning. The maximum height prescribed by a block study for the site was 6 storeys, yet there is a 7th storey element. The maximum floor space ratio for the Lidcombe town centre is set at 3:1, and the Draft Lidcombe town centre development control plan recommends a 6 storey height limit, yet this development exceeds both in height and floor space. There is also a brothel operating from one of the existing shop fronts, without approval, and one questions whether the provision of 2 'professional suites' will accommodate the relocation of the brothel.
