Comment: This will be a purely commercial enterprise, which will create job opportunities in the area, without adding extra residents. This should have a positive result in an area of high unemployment.

Description: 94 units (some with home offices); ground floor commercial/retail in a part 5, part 7 storey building.
Our concerns include: Height is outside approved limits. The adjoining property has a 5 storey recessed section over a 2 storey podium. This development has 2 recessed storeys over a 5 storey podium.
There are 6x 3 bedroom units, all under council's minimuim size, and we do not believe that this development (along with most others) caters to a variety of housing mix suitable to the Auburn community.
The cumulative impacts of the traffic from this and other nearby developments will cause traffic chaos, in an area where on-street parking is in short supply. While this is not caused by this development, it is contributed to by it, and council needs to consider developments in total, not in isolation.
